ABOUT THE IRIS AWARD:
The Women in Film
and Television
Louisiana Iris Award
honors women who
have made outstanding contributions to the film industry and support to the local community. The first Iris Award was given in December 2013 to screenwriter/
director/ Professor Mari
Kornhauser. one of the writers of hit show “Treme”, a film professor at Louisiana State University, director / writer of feature films. WIFT Louisiana is proud to present the 2016 Iris award to Susan Brennan, founder of Second Line Stages, one of the staunchest advocates of the film industry and supporter of local film community in Louisiana.
The Iris Cocktail:
In honor of the Iris Award, WIFT Louisiana has created the Iris Cocktail, a refreshing purple elixir, please enjoy!
– 2 shots of vodka or rum or etc
– 1 part blue curacao
– 1 part cranberry juice
– 1 part pineapple juice
– 1 part grenadine
– limes
- mint leaves
– ice
